Gavin Rogers, born in the UK began his career in 2000 as the Café Manager of 500-seat café at Wisely Gardens, one of the most visited paid gardens in the world. With his excellent management and catering skills he was soon promoted to the Public Catering Manager at Hampton Court Palace. This café, originally used for jousting by Henry VIII is famous for the diverse menu including home-made specials and excellence in coffee.
Having a passion for great food, a taste for fine wine and dedicated to offering great hospitality, Gavin decided to move abroad to gain international experience, where he managed a well known Italian restaurant in Zakynthos Island, Greece in 2003. In 2004 he managed the breakfast, lunch and dinner service at J&J Hotel situated on the island serving British food and Authentic Greek cuisine.
Gavin relocated to Australia in 2006 where he decided to develop his career in the Café arena, ensuring he was a qualified Barista in Australia and managing a Gloria Jeans café as well as being a Franchisee Trainer. In 2009 Gavin opened his own café in Griffith, NSW called Zara’s Coffee where he introduced and regularly conducts coffee appreciation and Barista evening events for customers.
Gavin continues to enjoy all aspects of the industry, ensuring the highest quality of coffee, food and service is consistently delivered.
