Young, creative and fresh off a plane from London, Telina Menzies in the new Head Chef at The George.
The George is a new direction for Telina, who previously cooked for London’s high society and most exclusive functions.
Working for “Create” and a team of 30, Telina was the Head Function Chef, catering for events with up to 2000 people.
Such events included the Chelsea Flower Show, Madame Tussands, Guild Hall, Royal and State dinners and functions at Tower Hill and London Bridge.
For creative inspiration Telina calls on several family members, including her father, who are also chefs. Her uncle, Ian Menzies, is Head Chef at the Manjimup Tuffle Company.
Telina says she has a vision for The George to be renowned in Perth for its delicious, honest and unpretentious menu offering.
Her favorite food is bread fresh from the oven, and her beverage of choice is a good beer.
